Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, LLC, is a company dedicated to becoming the premier regional provider for orthopedic rehabilitation and wellness.

Welcome Nate McMahan, MSPT! New to the Marathon staff at the Newton clinic is Nate McMahan MSPT, a graduate of Springfield College. He loves to bike, kayak, hike, ski, and especially to run. He has been a competitive runner for the last 10 years and ran the '08 and '09 Boston Marathons (2:56 PR). Nate specializes in treating sports and orthopedic injuries.
Congratulations to Kristy Thibodeau, Allison McKay, Saul Helgeson, Julie Fox, Erika Johnson, Heidi Johnson and Ruth Hensley for completing NAIOMT Level II Lower Quadrant in February and March, 2010 at the Newton clinic and to Kyla Donnelly for completing Level I in Colorado Springs.
Alex McKinney represented Marathon speaking to the Leukemia Society's Team In Training program at the Newton clinic about injury prevention, dynamic warm ups and core strengthening, performed injury screens with the Wheaton College Dance Company at Wheaton College and massages with the Boston
Triathlon Team in Waterville Valley, NH this May.
Congratulations to Emily Helgeson for completing the APTA’s Pregnancy and Postpartum continuing education course in March. Jessica Keaney and Julie Fox for completing the APTA’s Pelvic Floor Level I course and CAPP testing in April. Jon askow, ATC, and Erin Cinelli, ATC, completing Graston Technique Level 1 course April 24-25. Graston uses bevelled metal tools that are shaped to fit around bony prominences and hard to target areas to provide another way to treat tendonitis or myofascial adhesions that are restricting range of motion.
